Let's get this started. Heroic modes Tips and tricks For THE FALLEN PROTECTORS HC.

(Heroic tactics)

On this boss i have the worse advice ever, CLONES, CLONES EVERYWHERE!!!

Ok now that is behind us, let's see, the fight step by step.

My guild normally starts on Rook, with this you get your clones on He, and on Sun.

When we get Rooks at 66% and he starts his phase of desperate measures, is where it shows if you are fast on your monk fingers, put your clones on the last adds to die, normally this means, clones on the melee adds and you on the caster add.

When Rooks Phase is done and he returns, this time your clones are going in diferente targets.

The targets for the clones are Rook and Sun, this is because we will be hitting Hee, and when his phase starts a new add will show up and you are free to hit him if he targets you, use touch of karma do deliver the damage back to him.

So, now Hee and Rook are out of the way, it is Sun time, place your clones on Rook and Hee, and nuke Sun till her phase, she will disappear, and everyone including tanks should be in the middle to kill adds right, this is where the huge damage will appear, we have a awesome talent for aoe, remember guys, Rushing Jade Wind.  So Sun moves away, and what you have to do is target one of the big adds, and continue your rotation, but incorporate RJW, evertime it is off cooldown.

Your dps will sky rocket.
Yes i know, the fight is supposed to be one target at the time, but well, one monk doing it wonk make a diference.

After the all he phases are done, rinse and repeat, also everytime 2 bosses/adds are toghether use RJW.

Throne of Thunders First Boss

Jin'rokh the Breaker

Ok guys first boss of throne of thunder, we didn't kill it yesterday (3% wipe, because people think it's a good thing to offer our champion souls to the Azeroth/Troll gods) anyway.

A few things for monks that help the raid and your dps.
Hey everyone!!!

Today i will talk to you about Monks in RBG's

Yes that thing that you are either healer or the groups look at you somewhat worried that they will have to carry you.

What i am saying is that, the niche for Windwalker's (DPS) and even Brewmaster's (Tank/Flag carrier), is somewhat viewed with less then perfect spot filler.

Apart from all the Squishiness Brewmaster Monk's have, they can take quite a beating, if played properly, and better they can avoid such damage with spell like transcendance (teleport just like the lock's)

So guys i have been farming bg's for gear and practice with my windwalker monk, and i have to say, i definitly must have a target on my back or a sign saying nuke me now!!! because, and this happened in a bg today, there was me the WW monk and an elemental Shaman that was just chain lighting the horde team to the moon, guess who 4 of hordes went straight at!!! Yes that's right me.

This has is happening on a regular basis in bg's.

And you guys, what are your monk storys in pvp, do you feel the same?

I will try to gather some good footage from pvp, and will definitly work on my macros, has i feel that some thing can be tossed toghether, for better results.

See you soon.
Hey guys, during my leveling, i have been wondering if i needed to go back to the windwalker monk stats at level 90, now that monks all over the world are getting there.

So here it is.

Stat Priority

Agility > Melee Hit (7.5%) > Expertise (7.5%) > Haste > Crit > Mastery

check below for more info

So now that we have a set date for Mist of Pandaria, let's start looking how the windwalker monk is shapping up.

One thing that came up recently was, what the Windwalker monk would gain from the druid if targeted by the spell  (symbiosis), and apperantly it isn't too bad, we get

File:Spell druid bearhug.png
______________________________
|Bear Hug
|Melee Range
|Symbiosis: Melee attack that stuns
|the target for 3 sec and each 1 sec
|deals 2% of the Monk's health in
|damage.  The Monk is immobilized |for 3 sec.

Not bad too be honest, although i see this being alot more usefull in PvP than in PvE, but good things await us by the looks of it.

Also just though of a thing, in terms of the damage this ability deals, before using Bear hug, in combat changing the weapon and trinkets from agility or other stats, to stamina drenched items would increase the damage it deals.

Lets do a little napkin math!!!!

Our prayers have been heard, and today we got a release date for Mist of Pandaria, behold.

Now, its a 2 month full force farm mode, for mounts, gold and heirlooms.

Pandaria here we come.
Hey guys, haven't been posting alot on the blog and been digging around forums and stuff around, and found something on mmo-champion that seems to be really relevant for monk leveling before and after the release.

Kudus to Schaden(mmo-champion account name) for getting this up.

Pre-Release:

Updated at : HERE

The guys at elitistjerks.com have been through beta and analysed the monk abilites related to the windwalker, this is still in beta and is not final, so bear in mind nothing is written in stone yet, but still let's take a look at it.

Gear and weapons: primarily agility leather (with a 5% agility bonus if all 8 pieces are leather). All monks can dual wield one-handers (all kinds but daggers) and can also equip staves and polearms. Weapon choice has an effect on a couple spells: Fighting Style which morphs Jab into another abilities (only cosmetic or rp-flavored) and Way of the Monk which currently does the same for every kind of weapon but it may serve as a balance lever in the future. It's unclear to me which weapons will be the best choice for a dps monk, but it's worth noting that, if all other things are equal, dual wielding tends to edge out.
So the Beta keeps rolling, and data keeps coming up, blizz just tweeked a few things, but for the monk and th windwalker spec nothing changed.

Still, here they are.

Monk
 Monk
  • Blackout Kick: Kick with a blast of sha energy, causing (11.6+5.4*Level) Physical damage to an enemy target. Only usable on targets at or below 35% health. If the target is killed by Blackout Kick, you are refunded 1 Force. (2 Chi, Instant cast, 3 sec cooldown)
  • Crackling Jade Lightning: Channels Jade lightning at the target, causing 1674 Nature damage over 6 sec. If the enemy attacks you within melee range while victim to Crackling Jade Lightning, they are knocked back a short distance. (Instant, Channeled, 8 second cooldown)
  • Detox: Eliminates ailments from the friendly target, removing all harmful Poison and Bleed effects. (Instant, 8 second cooldown)
Now that the beta is going underway im getting all my heirloom gear encanted, a few pots and foods for the buffs ready to go, this is what i am doing.

What are you planning to do? Or are you taking your time? Write in the comments bellow.
There you go guys Detailed view of monk Class Talents and Spec enjoy.

Unfortunaly i still haven't got a beta key in my hands, but hope is the last one to die, MMO-champ has alot of new information on MoP so far, and in the meanwhile, i will post a list of live streams that are trying out MoP and pandas.

Hey everyone

MoP Beta Opt-in and FAQ (straight from http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/4639551)

Finally we are getting news about MoP beta, and this is what was posted by blizz a few hours ago.

We’re very close to beginning beta testing for World of Warcraft®: Mists of Pandaria™! Over the course of the beta test, we’ll be inviting Annual Pass holders, press, fansites, friends and family, and opt-in beta testers to participate. As there’s no NDA for this test, you’re likely to start seeing lots of screenshots and new video around the web. Please keep in mind that the game is still in development, and what you’ll see during the beta test is not necessarily representative of the final game.

Mists of Pandaria: New Arena and Battlegrounds ft. Maphack1337

So i was going on youtube, doing my normal stuff checking videos from people and stuff, and came across, New Arena and Battlegrounds ft. Maphack1337, he talks about the new arena and the new battlegrounds.

Can't wait to see them, even if the concept isn't new, well, it is in WoW to be honest, what is your opinion, write on the coments, after checking the video from Maphack1337.

Good tuesday to you all.

So yesterday the NDA was lifted and the press-tour came out.
Alot has already been given out at Blizzcon, during their presentation, when they revealed MoP so far nothing really out of the ordinary.

One thing that is said over and over and is really catching my eye is, the encouragement of World PvP, and they went furthe with the implementation of things like:

  • World PvP may be encouraged by rewards such as raising the Conquest Points cap when .

This is really good, before to iniciate world pvp it would be either "Npc harassing", going to places like Baradin Hold /Wintergrasp or raiding an enemy city. You had also places like Molten Front where it would litteraly be a powder keg waiting to explode if 3 or 4 people started to take take "mathers into their own hands", i was killed a few times there by faction enemy players, and killed alot more there, so it was always fun.
What's your place of choice for World PvP, do you wait for special holidays, or wait near specificy points like daily quests areas, or quest givers?
