Blizzard is at it again, quite fun to be honest.

Monk (Forums / Skills / WoD Talent Calculator)
  • Due to ratings concerns, all references to “brew” have been replaced with “giggle juice.”
  • The amount healed by Healing Sphere has been increased by 1000%, because RUN OVER THE HEALING SPHERES.
  • Blackout Kick now causes the victim to wake up the next day and question their life choices.
  • Legacy of the White Tiger critical strike chance is now increased by 10% for all characters with green eyes.
  • Detox now sends instructions to the target about this new diet you’ve been reading about.

So you finished the first 4 bosses of Siege of Ogrimmar, and you are just of the harbour, and you are about to start the Galakras fight (cool looking mount might i add) so lets check this fight.

So beneficial talents for this fight are:

Tiger's Lust               Diffuse Magic         Rushing Jade Wind(Personal choice)

Tiger's Lust is just my personal favority movement talent not much to add.

Diffuse magic will save you well on the fire arrows it helps and on the prison add it also reduces dmg but it shines when galakras phase begins and you have all those fire orbs going around.

Rushing Jade Wind here is a what will make you top dps on this fight, i mean higher then locks at this point, but i will talk about it later.

So lets break down the fight.

Your key spell and where you need to get good at in this fight is and clone targeting and choosing the adds with Storm, fire and earth.

What you are aiming for is the adds with the longest lifespawn or the ones that will last the longest, why, for higher uptime of you RSK dot, with RJW and combine that with fist of fury and the damage is insane.

Best targets for the clones are archers while you move around freely.

So the fourth boss, and he gives tokens YEY!!!!
Hate the trash on the room FYI.

So beneficial talents for this fight are:

Tiger's Lust               Diffuse Magic         Rushing Jade Wind(Personal choice)

Ok tiger's Lust is because of the movement one has to do during all the fight, be it prisons, stacking or going to and from the side-wall adds.

Diffuse magic will save you healers not gaining 5-pride, so you as a monk can dispell yourselve, therefore help the healers.

Rushing Jade Wind here is a personal choice because of the adds that spawn underneath you, and because you can guarentee a bigger uptime of damage on the adds with RJW then with Xuen.

Use (fortifying brew) and  (touch of Karma) to negate Sweeling Pride damage.

When big adds spawn leave a clone on the boss so you will deliver damage on two fronts, Big add and Boss.

And if you want to maximise damage on little adds when you run away put 2 clones on 2 adds and while you stick on boss RJW all the way and pad the meters.

First boss in Siege of Ogrimmar, let's see this boss from a Windwalker monk point of view.
What can be done to improve your job and help the raid.

Tip
WindwalkerAllSwirlTranscendenceYou can port through the whirl beam
WindwalkerAllSha BoltTranscendenceYou can port out of the Sha Bolt's collapsing
towards the  center as P1 ends
WindwalkerAllSha PuddleDisableUse disable to slow and/or root the adds, but
they die so fast i'm not sure if is worth it
WindwalkerAllSha PuddleLeg SweepAdds are stunnable. Up to you if you want to
Leg sweep a group of 2 for 5 seconds, or maybe
try and ox wave 2 sets, but that seems error
prone.
WindwalkerAllSha PuddleTouch of DeathDo not forget to use Touch of Death on the
adds
WindwalkerAllContaminated PuddleHealing SphereAwesomeHealing Spheres actually work on an NPC!
WindwalkerAllContaminated PuddleChi TorpedoTentativeChi Torpedo Heals the adds, but it's pretty
underwhelming unless you can cleave damage and
healing on a bunch
WindwalkerAllContaminated PuddleGlyph of Targeted ExpulsionDoes Not WorkGlyph of Targetted Expulsion sounds good,
but when the chi is pretty meaningless for a
WW/BrM, Healing Spheres just to more healing
than an Expel Harm, cut in 1/2. The only way
the glyph and EH would pull ahead would be
counting the damage as useful too,
which is a stretch, especially when other glyphs
are good.
WindwalkerAllSha PuddleFlying Serpent KickTentativeFSK Slow should work on the adds too
WindwalkerAllSha PuddleChi BurstMake sure chi burst is up to do a big healing
and damage cleave on adds at the start of
phase 2

Hey guys after this long pause of playing my monk, and been playing my prot warrior (guild needed an active tank (until they recruited people that actually wanted to tank)).

Also new things, guild has changed to Horde, and now, i am an orc (yes i know min/maxers say i should be Troll for haste rating buff, but, i dont like the troll animations, and plus i like my characters to have shoes :P ).

Next post, because it is a new patch will be a post about all about the caps and stats and rotation. Stay tuned for it.
PATCH 5.2 almost in its final form (pun intended).

We are clearly approaching to a final version of the PTR, and at this point i feel more comfortable talking about the changes that are going to happen (oh god, it will be a long post, but informative noone the less), also i will try to make it as clear as i can.

(Page-break below so this post isn't ultra big size on the main page of the blog)

Good Morning everyone.

Today's news:

Monk (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)

  • Windwalker
  • Brewing: Tigereye Brew now gains 1 charge after spending 3 Chi (was 4 Chi), increases damage by 1% per stack (was 2%), can stack to 20 but only 10 charges can be consumed per activation, and a user interface alert displays upon reaching 10 charges. Stacks of Tigereye Brew are cleared at the start of a raid encounter. This ability is improved by Bottled Fury.

Well i can't say i wasnt expecting this, since on the ptr's everyone was saying that monks had an insane burst now when this new mastery cames into play.

Yesterday i went to HoF and we are on Wind Lord.

--- Start Rant ---

Why can't some people watch out where they step and where they place the bombs ARGH!!!
--Rant Over---

we just didn't get the kill at one point because of that, bah, the fight if you want to see it and comment or give any advice is on my twitch channel:

Monk (Forums / Skills / Talent Calculator)

Dunno what to think of this except i don't like it.

I understand why they are doing it (making casters, cast again, and removing the blanket silences, but don't think 2 seconds will make a diference, unless they believe that those 2 seconds are the diference between the kill or not kill in arenas PVP).
Today a quick post guys, on how to lock down a caster for more a less 20 sec (and definitly force him to use a trinket.

This is the list of abilities.

What i normally do is bring the target till 80% and then start this combo:

  • Spear hand strike from the front to blanket silence.
  • Leg Sweep (which normally will force the trinket)
  • Fist of Fury here the damage component helps tons in bringing down the target.
  • Paralysis (if your target at this point hasn't used the trinket, he will use almost guarenteed at this point. At this point paralysis from behind will give you 8 second stun this is a good time to change target until paralysis is almost over, so you have a good damaging window, and leave the other team on the backfoot).
  • Spear hand strike from the front so the blanket silence is off DR, and at this point you have setup a good oportunity, to get a kill.
From my experience in RBG's in which i am on healer CC duty, this is devastating, specially if in Leg Sweep and Fists of Fury you manage to get 2 healers (a common situation is that you see the healers moving toghether, so this aoe cc happens easily.

Try this guys and tell how it goes.

Hey everyone latest Monk News.

Meh, i guess it could be worse.
And also.

Windwalker
  • Brewing: Tigereye Brew now gains a charge per 3 Chi used, up from 2.
  • Storm, Earth, and Fire is now a Windwalker spell. Now costs 10 Energy. The Monk splits, summoning an elemental spirit to attack the target. The Monk can split into up to 2 elemental spirits at a time. The spirits will attack their targets and mirror your damaging abilities. However, for each elemental spirit summoned the Monk's own damage will be reduced. 1 Spirit Summoned - Monk and spirit deal 60% of the Monk's normal damage. 2 Spirits Summoned - Monk and spirits deal 40% of the Monk's normal damage. The elemental spirits will last until the Monk cancels the effect or their target dies or is otherwise unavailable.

Hey everyone!!!

Today i will talk to you about Monks in RBG's

Yes that thing that you are either healer or the groups look at you somewhat worried that they will have to carry you.

What i am saying is that, the niche for Windwalker's (DPS) and even Brewmaster's (Tank/Flag carrier), is somewhat viewed with less then perfect spot filler.

Apart from all the Squishiness Brewmaster Monk's have, they can take quite a beating, if played properly, and better they can avoid such damage with spell like transcendance (teleport just like the lock's)

Monk Tier 15 and Season 13 Armor Sets PreviewKeep in mind that this is just a preview and the final sets may be different!

Yesterday was a slow day in terms of wow (mainly because i was nuking people away in my lvl85 hunter (shame on me)).

But here are the new sets guys. Is it me or do they have a strange Naruto feeling to them? Either way me likes.
