Back in raiding, soon there will be new stuff.

Monk rogue arena team versus

Hey everyone just a small rant of what happened to me yesterday and the feeling that i left arenas with, even if it's only 2v2, and how the community (on my server) views windwalker monks.

After doing some arenas with me team partner (a rogue), we have played  around 40 matches, and are just around the 51% win ratio.

What i feel is that we put twice the work in cc's and coordination for half the reward in the result. I'm not complaining, i love a class that has alot of options but it feels that most classes can just go herp derp, go balls in dps mode and still come on top, simply by stacking cd's and just do damage instead of having a clean kill. Just my thoughts on that.

On the other matter, how dps monks are viewed in the wow community, only a handfull of people are willing to take us to RBG's (pug RBG's that is) the first thing they wisper me when i tell them my stats is, if i have healing gear, and that i shouldnt bother asking to go with windwalker monk because i lack the damage to pull my weight on a RBG, luckly a few people would like me to play with them for the fact that monks in a RBG can shut down healers for a huge amount of time, i hope this comes out to the general public and people consider monks a more viable option these days, for those RBG spots that are left for random classes.

How people in your server view your monk for arenas/RBG's, do they consider you a good addition to the roster, or just a class not worth taking?
Good morning everyone, after i finished leveling Leatherworking, and wanted motes of harmony, big time, and started to look for the best places to farm them, besides the farm and having reputation with tillers.

Specifications for the farming spot:
  • Have to be soloable.
  • Need to go down fast, even in healer spec.
  • Must have a good drop chance.
  • And last need to have a fast respawn or enough packs for it to respawn when i do a run from start to finish.
After some google searching and wowhead exploring here it is, yesterday i was testing this place for 40min to 1hour, and got 4 Spirits of harmony, which means 40motes of harmony in 40 min to 1hour, which let's face it, it is alot.

Hey everyone, this has been a slow week, between leveling professions, doing daylies, raids, bg's to get the gear, arenas, our ocasional Celebrity guild ganking on hordes that insist on not letting us do our dailies(yes there are some horde guilds that will attack our guild members on sight xD go figure), and IRL job, haven't had much time to do something worth posting to you guys, but as things start to fall in place, things will happen, videos will show up.

At the moment trying to record with the razer game booster program, but the quality doesn't seem the best sometimes, when i mouve my camera fast which happens alot in bg's.

Have a few things that i want to record:
  • Making use of Crackling Jade and its knockback to throw people from cliffs(always fun).
  • Duels vs each of everyclass.
  • Bg's (or fights that are worth recording, even if i lose).
  • The ocasional raid.

And besides all that, family still needs time (oh well, have plenty of time to sleep in the weekend).

See you all in-game.
Hey guys, during my leveling, i have been wondering if i needed to go back to the windwalker monk stats at level 90, now that monks all over the world are getting there.

So here it is.

Stat Priority

Agility > Melee Hit (7.5%) > Expertise (7.5%) > Haste > Crit > Mastery

So now that we have a set date for Mist of Pandaria, let's start looking how the windwalker monk is shapping up.

One thing that came up recently was, what the Windwalker monk would gain from the druid if targeted by the spell  (symbiosis), and apperantly it isn't too bad, we get

File:Spell druid bearhug.png
______________________________
|Bear Hug
|Melee Range
|Symbiosis: Melee attack that stuns
|the target for 3 sec and each 1 sec
|deals 2% of the Monk's health in
|damage.  The Monk is immobilized |for 3 sec.

Not bad too be honest, although i see this being alot more usefull in PvP than in PvE, but good things await us by the looks of it.

Also just though of a thing, in terms of the damage this ability deals, before using Bear hug, in combat changing the weapon and trinkets from agility or other stats, to stamina drenched items would increase the damage it deals.

Lets do a little napkin math!!!!
