So guys, today i bring you a guide from Eletistjerks.com, very good guide, well put toghether.

WW] 5.4 - Siege of the Fist
All the credits go to  -> Calligraphy. " I've been playing various roles in WoW for several years, starting wayyyy way back when I first made my shaman. I just so happen to play a Windmasta Brewwalkin' monk, with an emphasis on that Windwalkin'. I chose to write this in order to have an up-to-date guide on Windwalker mechanics and changes, with an emphasis on compiling current theorycraft in an easier-to-digest manner."

Introduction

Windwalker is not a class to be confused with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. For one thing, we have an L in Windwalker. We bring front-loaded damage, and are extremely effective in AoE and cleave fights.

We do not have initial burst, though we do have a stacking buff that allows us to do a large amount of damage over a short period of time (for more information, read the section on Tigereye Brew). In addition to that, we have a multi-dot that allows us to maintain great damage on 2-3 targets (though, with an impact on our own damage). Finally, to top all of this off - we also do fantastic sustained damage.

How to read this guide: I will give the short answer first (for those who are perhaps just switching to Windwalker and have 10 minutes before raid) and then go into more technical reasoning for those who are curious, or those who are attempting to min/max.

Today a quick post guys, on how to lock down a caster for more a less 20 sec (and definitly force him to use a trinket.

This is the list of abilities.

What i normally do is bring the target till 80% and then start this combo:

  • Spear hand strike from the front to blanket silence.
  • Leg Sweep (which normally will force the trinket)
  • Fist of Fury here the damage component helps tons in bringing down the target.
  • Paralysis (if your target at this point hasn't used the trinket, he will use almost guarenteed at this point. At this point paralysis from behind will give you 8 second stun this is a good time to change target until paralysis is almost over, so you have a good damaging window, and leave the other team on the backfoot).
  • Spear hand strike from the front so the blanket silence is off DR, and at this point you have setup a good oportunity, to get a kill.
From my experience in RBG's in which i am on healer CC duty, this is devastating, specially if in Leg Sweep and Fists of Fury you manage to get 2 healers (a common situation is that you see the healers moving toghether, so this aoe cc happens easily.

Try this guys and tell how it goes.
A gift for you guys, a WallPaper for the Monk Community.

Cya tomorrow, need to work on the 4gigs of 2v2arenas that i have (damn you slow computer).
Hey everyone.

These last couple of days i haven't been able to play so i have been following closely the EU and US forums, and to be honest if i had to find a picture to represent what they look like, in relation to the monk changes, it would be this one.

QQ monk changes 5.2.
Yep that's what is all about on the blizzard World of warcraft forums, some people go to the extend of saying, i don't know the monk class very well, but they are op and should be nerfed to the ground.

Well, instead of looking at this with a "defending my class" look, how about actually giving some solutions, for example:

Tiger eye Brew - for windwalkers that now works with mastery well, i has a percentage, this one is easy, tweak the percentages not much to see here.
Good morning everyone, haven't been posting alot latelly (really sorry for that, i had a family loss, tons of work, the x-mas holidays came in and all that stuff that needed my attention, and to top all of that my laptop died on me 2 weeks ago and it still isn't fixed. bahhh).

But let's get back on track.

Windwalker monk, pvp, dual-wielding
Good morning everyone, after i finished leveling Leatherworking, and wanted motes of harmony, big time, and started to look for the best places to farm them, besides the farm and having reputation with tillers.

Specifications for the farming spot:
  • Have to be soloable.
  • Need to go down fast, even in healer spec.
  • Must have a good drop chance.
  • And last need to have a fast respawn or enough packs for it to respawn when i do a run from start to finish.
After some google searching and wowhead exploring here it is, yesterday i was testing this place for 40min to 1hour, and got 4 Spirits of harmony, which means 40motes of harmony in 40 min to 1hour, which let's face it, it is alot.

Hey everyone, like the title says, this week, i have been asked by the guild leader if i could gather a healer's set, apperantly we are in dying need of healers in our main raid group, i thought why not what harm could it do.

Oh dear lord what have i done, healing as a monk, is to say the least weird/fun, and still for me un-explored territory, i have been doing heroic dungeons, and gathering gear, and starting to get a hang of it, but sometimes, i still find myself going out of mana really, really fast, apart from that tried a raid finder as a healer, and fun suprise, in aoe trash packs where other healers struggle, i was doing easily between 10 to 20% more healing then them, it was amazing remember the ICC mace called trauma, when it procced and all the screen was filled with green numers, that's what happens.
Mistweaver human Monk

Guess it can only get better.

On the windwalker side, finalized my inscription details for: Dara Mactire (European Region Only) Battleground Challenge.

Gamegame4glory Glory

Yes i registered in game4glory and will be going to their european side of bg's, let's see how it goes.
Hey everyone, this has been a slow week, between leveling professions, doing daylies, raids, bg's to get the gear, arenas, our ocasional Celebrity guild ganking on hordes that insist on not letting us do our dailies(yes there are some horde guilds that will attack our guild members on sight xD go figure), and IRL job, haven't had much time to do something worth posting to you guys, but as things start to fall in place, things will happen, videos will show up.

At the moment trying to record with the razer game booster program, but the quality doesn't seem the best sometimes, when i mouve my camera fast which happens alot in bg's.

Have a few things that i want to record:
  • Making use of Crackling Jade and its knockback to throw people from cliffs(always fun).
  • Duels vs each of everyclass.
  • Bg's (or fights that are worth recording, even if i lose).
  • The ocasional raid.

And besides all that, family still needs time (oh well, have plenty of time to sleep in the weekend).

See you all in-game.

Just got an e-mail from Razer saying that i got approved for Beta tryout of Gamebooster, here it is.
Razer game booster beta

Will try it out today after work, and see what goods it brings, probably like all Razer things it will be good.
Here i am guys yesterday i got to level 90 and started a few heroic dungeons in order to get some gear!! Had one or 2 lucky drops, one of them being the off-hand weapon.

I haven't enchanted or started or yet tried to meet the requirements of hit/expertise cap, but will work on that, on the meanwhile here it is Spyker - Windwalker Monk.

Finally lvl 68, heading straight to Northrend going with the 50% plus xp buff. Stay tuned for more.

Hey guys, during my leveling, i have been wondering if i needed to go back to the windwalker monk stats at level 90, now that monks all over the world are getting there.

So here it is.

Stat Priority

Agility > Melee Hit (7.5%) > Expertise (7.5%) > Haste > Crit > Mastery

check below for more info
So Mist of Pandaria hit our homes yesterday night, i have been leveling my Monk Spyker, as fast as a i can, with the interruptions of sleep, IRL job and other situations (bah they don't let us play games all the time now). Anyway just an update on how Spyker is leveling up, hope that by before the weekend im level 85 at least.

About the windwalker spec, well to me so far it seems extremelly fluid, i have to say it suits my playstyle, also about the other monks i have seen around i noticed something that bothers me, i have been using zen sphere in dungeons because, well it deals damage and if it is passive damage and helps me kill mobs then why not use it.
I know that at low level stuff takes too hits and dies, but in dungeons everyone is pulling huge packs of mobs more then they should sometimes, and i have prevented a few wipes with my zen sphere up and cooldown usage of Expel harm.

How is your monk comming along, have you encountered other situations like this?
Hey guys, will be starting doing things on youtube, here is the first one, sorry about anything you might not like, i promise i'll get the hang of it, any tips advices will be welcome, like i you do like, and subscribe.

The Windwalker Monk works with Energy and Chi.

This resource should never be maxed out, this means you are'nt outputting the max damage/utility that you could.

One Rotation cycle should look like this.

Levels 21 to 30

First up, you'll receive two more baseline abilities,
Legacy of the Emperor, which is a buff identical to a paladin's Blessing of Kings, and Touch of Death. ToD is very cool because it allows you to instakill an enemy with lower health than you; the downside is it requires 3 chi, which typically means you'll have already half-killed an enemy by the time you can use it. Still fun, though, especially because it also interacts with your level 24 ability, Fortifying Brew. While Fortifying Brew is designed to be used as an "oh, crap" damage reduction ability, its 20% health buff pushes the Touch of Death threshold just a bit higher.

You'll also get another Touch ability here that's a windwalker exclusive,
Touch of Karma. This is sort of like warriors' Spell Reflection, but way better; this reflects all damage you take for 10 seconds. Now, good PvPers will quickly learn to recognize the spell effect and back off, but you're about to ruin XxPwnYrFcexX's day, which is perfectly fine with me.

Rounding out the baseline abilities, you'll pick up
Expel Harm at level 26. This ability should instantly hit your bars, because it heals you for a decent amount, does that amount of damage to an enemy target, and generates chi. One thing to note, though, is that it has to heal you to do damage, but it will still generate chi regardless. You'll also pick up Afterlife here, a simple passive that causes healing or chi spheres to occasionally proc when you kill an enemy. Finally, you get Disable at level 28, which is essentially the monk's version of Hamstring. (Yes, they stole Improved Hamstring from warriors, too.)

At last, you'll reach level 30. You'll get
dual spec here, so if windwalker's getting boring, feel free to try one of the other specs for a while. While this milestone doesn't come with any new abilities, you'll open up your second tier of talents, which are all skills that combine damage and healing. While I love Chi Burst's visual effect, Zen Sphere is your best bet for solo questing, since it lets you turn excess chi into healing on the move.

Levels 11 to 20
For this tier, you'll still have lots of baseline abilities to get. At level 14, you'll receive
Provoke, which is the monk's taunt ability. Even though all specs receive it, you'll likely only use this in desperate situations as a non-brewmaster, since the increased speed the enemy receives makes "taunt kiting" very difficult. Then at 15, you'll have your first talent choice, all of which involve movement in some way. For leveling, my personal preference is Momentum to shorten walk times, but Celerity is good as well.

First Steps: Levels 1-10

Like all classes, you don't start out with much. Your only usable ability will be Jab, which is your basic attack that generates chi. Your basic auto-attacks will likely do a lot more damage than Jab at first; don't fret. You'll also have Stance of the Fierce Tiger, which will cause your Jab to generate extra chi, which you won't have any use for at first. Finally, you'll have several passive abilities, the most noticeable being Tiger Strikes. This proc gives you (essentially) +50% melee attack speed and +100% melee damage for your next four swings, which means whatever you're fighting will die very quickly.
